These Terms of Use ("Terms") are a legal agreement between you and CUPID IQ LLC, doing business as CUPID IQ™ ("CUPID IQ," "we," "us," or "our"). They govern your access to and use of cupidiq.love and the products and services that link to these Terms (collectively, the "Services"). By accessing or using the Services, or by submitting information after being shown these Terms, you agree to these Terms and acknowledge the Privacy Policy.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and have legal capacity to enter into these Terms. Certain Services may have additional eligibility, verification, geographic, subscription, safety, or participation requirements.
2. About the Services
CUPID IQ provides Relationship Intelligence™ experiences and related relationship services. Services may include personalized reports and insights, educational or guided experiences, profiles, identity or eligibility verification, compatibility and technology-generated suggested matches, relationship or multi-participant services, communications, subscriptions, and other related offerings. Services may be introduced, changed, limited, paused, or discontinued over time. Describing a category of Service does not mean it is currently available or guarantee eligibility or outcomes.
CUPID IQ may use automated and algorithm-based technologies to generate scores, reports, insights, compatibility assessments, recommendations, and other outputs, and to operate, personalize, evaluate, and improve the Services.
3. Educational purpose; not professional advice
CUPID IQ content, scores, reports, insights, recommendations, and other outputs are for personal reflection, education, and informational purposes. They are not therapy, couples counseling, psychological testing, mental-health evaluation, medical care, diagnosis, legal advice, financial advice, or a substitute for a qualified professional. CUPID IQ is not a crisis or emergency service and does not monitor participant responses in real time. Outputs should not be the sole basis for significant personal, relationship, health, safety, legal, or financial decisions.
4. Your information and records
You retain any rights you may have in original information you submit. You grant CUPID IQ a limited license to host, process, analyze, reproduce, transform, and display information you provide as reasonably necessary to provide, personalize, secure, maintain, evaluate, develop, and improve the Services and carry out the uses described in the Privacy Policy. CUPID IQ may preserve completed submissions and related outputs as versioned or historical records. Information you provide over time may be used, as described in the Privacy Policy, to personalize later Services, insights, compatibility assessments, and recommendations without rewriting prior records.
5. Compatibility, suggested matches, and multi-participant services
Where available, CUPID IQ may use information you provide, together with automated technology and CUPID IQ's proprietary methodology, to generate compatibility insights, recommendations, or suggested matches. CUPID IQ is not a traditional personalized matchmaking service in which a human matchmaker personally interviews participants and hand-selects introductions. Compatibility insights and suggested matches are informational and probabilistic. CUPID IQ does not guarantee chemistry, accuracy, safety, compatibility, relationship success, or any particular outcome. Each participant controls their own CUPID IQ information. One participant may not authorize CUPID IQ to collect, use, or disclose another participant's private CUPID IQ information unless legally authorized to do so.
6. Profiles, verification, and safety
Some Services may require identity, liveness, eligibility, safety, or fraud-prevention checks performed by CUPID IQ or specialized providers. CUPID IQ may also offer participant-facing profiles, photos, audio, or video. Information is made visible to other participants only through the applicable Service and permissions. Verification, screening, moderation, or reporting tools cannot guarantee another person's identity, intentions, conduct, background, or safety.
CUPID IQ does not conduct criminal background checks unless a specific Service expressly states otherwise. Certain Services may require identity, liveness, eligibility, safety, or fraud-prevention verification. Verification, screening, moderation, or reporting tools cannot guarantee another person's identity, intentions, conduct, background, health, or safety. You are responsible for exercising your own judgment and taking reasonable precautions in any interactions, communications, or meetings arising from the Services.
7. Communications
CUPID IQ may send messages reasonably necessary to provide requested Services, including report delivery, authentication or access messages, security notices, privacy-request communications, transaction or subscription information, and material service or legal notices. Optional news, educational content, invitations, product updates, or promotional offers are subject to the choices presented to you and may be unsubscribed from at any time.
8. Payments and subscriptions
Some Services may be offered for a fee. Before purchase, CUPID IQ will present applicable price and material purchase terms, including recurring billing, renewal, cancellation, and refund terms where relevant. No recurring charge will be imposed without affirmative authorization. Additional purchase, cancellation, renewal, refund, safety, and state-specific terms may apply to paid, matching, or other regulated Services and will be presented where required before purchase or participation. Nothing in these Terms limits non-waivable rights available under applicable law.
9. Secure access
Access links, authentication credentials, report links, and sessions are personal and may be time-limited or single-use. You are responsible for maintaining control of your email account, devices, and credentials.
10. Acceptable use
You may not use the Services unlawfully or deceptively; impersonate another person; submit another person's private information without authorization; bypass security or identity controls; scrape, reverse engineer, resell, train competing systems on, or commercially exploit CUPID IQ content, methods, software, or nonpublic data except as permitted by law or written authorization; upload malicious code; or use CUPID IQ outputs for high-impact decisions involving employment, housing, credit, insurance, education, or legal rights.
11. Intellectual property and confidential methods
CUPID IQ™, Relationship Intelligence™, and other names, marks, logos, and branding used by CUPID IQ are owned by or licensed to CUPID IQ LLC. The Services and their content are protected by intellectual-property laws. CUPID IQ's nonpublic methods, algorithms, scoring logic, compatibility or matching logic, models, technology, trade secrets, and know-how are proprietary and are not disclosed or licensed by these Terms. You receive a limited, revocable, nonexclusive, nontransferable license for personal, noncommercial use.
12. Service changes and corrections
Services may contain errors or experience interruptions. CUPID IQ may limit participation, suspend access, correct outputs affected by technical errors, modify features, or discontinue Services. Where CUPID IQ preserves a versioned historical record, it may correct display, delivery, or technical defects without silently rewriting the underlying historical record.
13. Third-party services
CUPID IQ may use service providers for hosting, storage, authentication, email, communications, payments, analytics, advertising measurement, security, identity verification, and other operations.
14. Suspension and termination
You may stop using the Services at any time. CUPID IQ may suspend or terminate access when reasonably necessary to address a Terms violation, security risk, fraud, legal requirement, eligibility issue, or material harm.
15. Indemnification
To the extent permitted by applicable law, you agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless CUPID IQ LLC and its owners, officers, employees, and contractors from and against claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses, including reasonable attorneys' fees, arising from or relating to your use of the Services, your submitted information, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any law or third-party right. This section does not require you to indemnify CUPID IQ for CUPID IQ's own fraud, willful misconduct, or violation of law.
16. Disclaimers
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE." CUPID IQ DISCLAIMS IMPLIED WARRANTIES, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. CUPID IQ DOES NOT PROMISE THAT ANY SCORE, REPORT, INSIGHT, RECOMMENDATION, INTRODUCTION, MATCH, OR OTHER SERVICE WILL PRODUCE A PARTICULAR PERSONAL OR RELATIONSHIP OUTCOME.
17. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, CUPID IQ LLC AND ITS OWNERS, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, CONTRACTORS, AND SERVICE PROVIDERS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS, GOODWILL, OR OPPORTUNITY. CUPID IQ'S TOTAL LIABILITY ARISING FROM THE SERVICES WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID CUPID IQ FOR THE SERVICE GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM DURING THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM OR (B) $100, EXCEPT WHERE PROHIBITED BY LAW.
This limitation does not apply to liability arising from CUPID IQ's fraud, willful misconduct, or gross negligence, or to the extent a limitation would violate applicable law.
18. Governing law and disputes
These Terms and any dispute arising out of or relating to them or the Services are governed by the laws of the State of Arizona, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles, except to the extent the law of another jurisdiction provides you with non-waivable consumer rights that apply notwithstanding this choice of law.
Before filing a claim, each party agrees to provide written notice describing the dispute and allow 30 days for a good-faith attempt to resolve it, except where prohibited by law or emergency relief is appropriate.
Unless applicable law requires otherwise, any court proceeding arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Services must be brought in a state or federal court located in Maricopa County, Arizona, and each party consents to the personal jurisdiction of those courts. These Terms do not require arbitration.
19. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms as the Services evolve. We will post the revised version and update the effective date. If a change is material, we will provide additional notice or request affirmative consent when required by law.
20. General terms
If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain effective. Failure to enforce is not a waiver. CUPID IQ may assign these Terms in connection with a reorganization, financing, merger, acquisition, or transfer of the Services, subject to applicable law. Additional terms may apply to specific paid or regulated Services.
These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and any applicable supplemental policy or feature-specific terms, contain the entire agreement between you and CUPID IQ regarding the Services and supersede any prior agreements or representations, written or oral, on this subject. Additional or different terms disclosed to you for a specific paid or regulated Service also apply to that Service.
